Modern Expo expands production in Lublin. New production wing and manufacturing line

Modern Expo is an international manufacturer and provider of comprehensive solutions for the retail and last-mile logistics sectors. The company has been operating for nearly 30 years, and its portfolio includes, among others, shelving and checkout systems, POS and POP solutions, refrigeration equipment, parcel lockers, warehouse solutions, vending machines and autonomous micro-markets.
The production facility in Lublin was launched in 2022 as another stage in Modern Expo’s international expansion. Since then, the Lublin site has developed into one of the company’s strategic hubs, bringing together expertise in production, technology, logistics and business development. Today, more than 400 people work at the Lublin facility.
The opening of the new production wing and manufacturing line marks another stage in the development of the plant. The expansion of the production infrastructure is expected to enable the company to further increase its manufacturing capacity and fulfil a growing number of orders for customers in international markets. At the same time, Modern Expo is actively recruiting in Lublin, including for production positions, CNC machine operators and warehouse roles.
“Today’s opening of Modern Expo’s new production wing and manufacturing line is an important moment not only for the company, but also for Lublin and the entire region. I am pleased that a company which has been developing its operations in our city for years continues to invest here and create new jobs. More than PLN 48.6 million invested in the development of infrastructure and production facilities is a clear sign that Lublin is a good place to do business and grow a company,” emphasises Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin.

The company has full in-house capabilities in IT, engineering and production – from processing raw steel to delivering finished solutions for the retail sector. Modern Expo also has its own production facilities, proprietary digital systems and laboratories for product testing and validation.
Modern Expo operates on a global scale. The company reports more than 100,000 equipped retail spaces in over 75 countries, cooperation with more than 100 partners worldwide, and a total of 93,400 m² of production space in Poland and Ukraine. In 2026, the Lublin facility covers 15,000 m² of production space.
Modern Expo’s customers and partners include well-known international retail brands. The company highlights cooperation with such businesses as Carrefour, Auchan, Żabka, REWE, Edeka, Sainsbury’s, Intermarché, Morrisons and E.Leclerc.
“Modern Expo is now an international company whose solutions reach more than 100,000 stores and retail spaces in 75 countries. We can be proud that Lublin is part of this success story. The new investment may create up to 170 additional jobs and generate further revenues for the city budget. I congratulate the Management Board and all Modern Expo employees. I wish the company continued success, further growth and many more investments right here in Lublin,” adds Mayor Krzysztof Żuk.
Modern Expo’s development is part of the broader reinvestment process among companies operating in the Lublin Subzone of the Special Economic Zone. The City identifies the company as one of the investors that have expanded their production activities in Lublin in recent years.
The new investment strengthens the position of the Lublin facility within Modern Expo’s international structure and confirms Lublin’s growing importance as a location for advanced manufacturing, technology and logistics activities.
