Lublin under construction vol. 3 – industrial sector

The outburst of COVID-19 has had and continues to have devastating effects not only on our health but also on businesses, yet the industrial sector despite all of the challenges and difficulties brought about by the pandemic, seems resistant to its negative impact and continues to grow. What is the reason for that? By guaranteeing access to essential goods, such as food, medicines and vaccines, the industrial sector keeps economies afloat and drives them forward. This consequently translates into an unabated interest of investors who want to establish new or expand already existing premises.

Lublin is perceived as an attractive investment destination for many branches of industry including automotive & machinery, food processing but also metalworking, manufacturing and chemical. Even though the Lublin industrial sector is highly diverse, what all of these branches have in common is good conditions for development. Among the factors attracting investors to our city are undoubtedly access to a pool of skilled workers, convenient location, relatively low employment and operational costs but also attractive forms of support or existence of a Special Economic Zone. The basic benefits of investing in the Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Mielec involve access to well-prepared plots of land as well as a perfect location in the vicinity of an express ring road and Lublin’s airport.

This is why companies with a significant position in the European market such as Aliplast, Chemnovatic, and Medisept have launched their operations here and continue to expand their facilities.

In this article, we would like to take a look at investments from the industrial sector that are currently under construction and are important from the perspective of Lublin’s development as they affect the economy and provide a lot of opportunities for its residents.

Currently, MEDISEPT is building a Research and Development Center along with administrative and office buildings directly adjacent to the production facilities, which are to be ready in 2022. By implementing the project, the company will complete the process of consolidating all areas of activity in one place.

The centre will have accredited biological and virological laboratories that will enable microbiological tests on antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

The investment activities of MEDISEPT have been noticed by the management board of the Industrial Development Agency. The company was honoured with a statuette for a company investing in the Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK as one of the 13 most thriving enterprises contributing to the development of the zone and the region through investment activities.
