Rohlig Suus Logistics is a Polish family company specialising in road, sea, air, and rail freight forwarding. Since the beginning of its activity, it has been consistently pursuing an organic growth strategy. Last year alone, the company grew more than five times faster than the market, achieving the highest net revenue growth among the top 10 logistics operators in the country. The company generated a record revenue of PLN 1.156 billion. Compared to 2019, it was an increase of as much as 22 per cent. Rohlig Suus Logistics employs over 1,800 people and leases approx. 250,000 sqm of warehouse space in Poland and abroad. One of the most important areas of the company’s development is contract logistics. The key of the adopted warehouse expansion strategy is building and then strengthening the position in other regions. The Lubelskie voivodeship plays an important role in the company’s long-term plans.

For many years, the region has been underestimated by big business. And yet it has enormous potential, mainly due to its great – from a strategic point of view – location. The international route Via Carpatia which runs through the Lubelskie voivodeship will ultimately connect the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda with the Mediterranean Sea. Another advantage of Lublin is its proximity to Małaszewicze, which is home to one of Europe’s largest dry cargo ports. This small town is expected to play a key role on the so-called New Silk Road – a trade route facilitating transport between China and the European Union countries. Lublin is no exception. Experts agree that in the coming years, the cities in the eastern part of Poland will gain in importance, also in the context of the transport and logistics sector, says Krystian Zakrzewski, Branch Manager of Rohlig Suus Logistics.

Recognising the potential of eastern Poland, the company plans to mark the presence of Rohlig Suus Logistics in the Lubelskie voivodship and increase operational capabilities in this region. Next year, the company moves its operations to a modern A-class cross-dock warehouse, which is designed to meet the future customers’ needs. One of the elements increasing the operational capacity of Rohlig Suus Logistics is the expansion of the loading zone, which will contribute to a three-fold increase in the number of handled trucks. The cross-docking distribution means that a large part of the goods delivered to the warehouse will be immediately directed for further shipment. This will shorten the order fulfilment time and streamline the distribution process. What else will change? First of all, the area – both warehouse and office space will be increased. The new warehouse will be built in the Panattoni Park in Lublin, where the company has been successfully operating for 7 years.
