Lublin representatives take part in the K-City Network opening ceremony in Seoul

Study visit programme
The delegation’s visit to South Korea is part of Lublin’s participation in the K-City Network, an international programme focused on knowledge exchange and cooperation in the field of smart and sustainable urban development.
The initiative brings together Korean institutions, technology companies and cities from around the world, creating opportunities to share expertise and explore how Korean technologies and urban solutions can be adapted and implemented by international partners.
The September visit marks the next stage of cooperation that began earlier in Lublin. More information about the previous activities can be found in our earlier article.
During their stay in South Korea, representatives of Lublin are taking part in a series of study visits dedicated to Smart City solutions already in use across the country. The programme includes presentations, meetings and visits to locations where advanced technologies support the day-to-day operation and management of cities.
The delegation is learning about solutions in areas such as intelligent transport systems, traffic management, urban mobility, infrastructure, data-driven city management and the use of digital technologies in public services.
One of the most valuable aspects of the visit is the opportunity to see these solutions operating in real-life urban environments. The programme included, among others, a visit to the Smart City Integration Centre in Anyang, where participants were introduced to integrated city monitoring systems, as well as the Smart Lab, an interactive space where residents can discover and experience technologies used in the city.
South Korea is widely recognised as one of the global leaders in the development and implementation of advanced urban technologies. The study visit therefore provides not only an opportunity to observe these solutions first-hand, but also to exchange knowledge directly with representatives of Korean public institutions, local authorities and technology companies.

Lublin’s participation in the delegation and the K-City Network programme is funded by the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), a Korean institution supporting international cooperation in infrastructure and urban development.
Thanks to this support, Lublin representatives are able to explore innovative technologies first-hand and discuss their practical application directly with the organisations and experts involved in developing and implementing them.
