Lublin’s profile in the business services sector continues to rise!

For years, the business services sector has been a primary engine of the Polish economy. It strengthens urban competitiveness by developing local labour markets, fostering university partnerships, and driving innovation. According to the ABSL report “Business Services Sector in Poland 2025”, there are over 2,000 centres currently operating nationwide, employing nearly half a million specialists. The sector’s contribution to Poland’s GDP is estimated at 5.7%. Locally, Lublin hosts more than 80 centres, which together employ approximately 10,400 people.

“The initiatives we lead at ABSL support the growth of both the business services sector and the cities themselves. The meetings held within our chapters provide an effective platform for strategic planning and boosting competitiveness. By hosting this sector, cities gain high-value jobs and a significant catalyst for broader development,” notes Janusz Dziurzyński, President of ABSL.

Lublin: A burgeoning business hub in Eastern Poland

The “Business Services Sector in Poland 2025” report highlights that over half of the 10,400 professionals in Lublin’s service centres are IT specialists. A cornerstone of Lublin’s appeal is its robust academic ecosystem. The city boasts nine universities with over 57,000 students and nearly a thousand doctoral candidates. Every year, more than 15,000 graduates enter the workforce.

This steady supply of highly qualified personnel—particularly in IT, analytics, finance, and multilingual roles—is a primary driver of investor interest. Furthermore, Lublin offers competitive operational costs and a sophisticated office market.

A vital factor for investors is the proactive stance of the city authorities. Lublin has implemented a range of measures to create a supportive environment for residents, students, and businesses alike. Substantial municipal investment, a consistent long-term development strategy, and dedicated support for investors provide a stable and predictable climate for international firms.

The city’s high quality of life was recently recognised in the Business Insider 2026 ranking, where Lublin was named the 3rd best city to live in Poland. The ranking praised Lublin’s healthcare access, public safety, and air quality. This blend of strategic management and a culture of open dialogue makes Lublin a credible, long-term partner for the business services industry.
