“Lublin Subzone – 10 years of striving for innovative economy of the city”

On September 21st, a conference dedicated to the jubilee of the 10th anniversary of the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone Lublin Subzone will take place in the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin. CBRE Group, Inc., a global investment advisory company, holds the substantive patronage over the conference. Lublin Subzone

The Lublin Subzone is an integral part of the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone managed by the Industrial Development Agency JSC, Branch in Mielec. In 2014, 20 years passed since the enactment of the Special Economic Zones Act. This year, we celebrate the jubilee of the 10th anniversary of the Lublin Subzone. In the context of global competition, the zones remain one of the key incentives increasing the attractiveness of Poland and its regions. The new temporal perspective of the functioning of Special Economic Zones in Poland creates the opportunity to attract more entrepreneurs who would like to take advantage of preferential conditions of activity offered by the Zones in Poland. This phenomenon will undoubtedly translate into the growth and development of the Polish economy.

The purpose of the conference “Lublin Subzone – 10 years of striving for innovative economy of the city” is the discussion on the further prospects of functioning of the Special Economic Zones, the future of the fourth industrial revolution in Poland and in the world, and presentation of the success story of the SEZ Lublin Subzone. Many distinguished guests will attend the conference including: Marcin Chludziński – President of the Industrial Development Agency JSC, Grażyna Ciużyńska – Director of the Investment Policy Department of the Ministry of Development, Krzysztof Senger – Vice President of the Polish Agency for Investment and Trade, and also representatives of Special Economic Zones in Poland, local and central government institutions, consulting and investment companies and representatives of businesses interested in locating in Special Economic Zones.

The organisers expect more than 150 participants who will be able to get acquainted with the subject of the future of Special Economic Zones after 2026, the prospect of the industry 4.0, to explore good examples of the companies functioning in the Special Economic Zones of Lubelskie Voivodship. Also, representatives of interested companies will be able to take part in workshops on the principles of starting economic activity in the Special Economic Zone led by Bogumiła Tuczyńska – Deputy Director of the Division of the EURO-PARK MIELEC Special Economic Zone and Iwona Chojnowska-Haponik – Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Foreign Investment Department Director.
