Why is it worth developing a global biotechnology company in Lublin? How do foreign partners perceive our city? We discussed Lublin's potential with Mieczysław Starkowicz, CEO of SYNTHAVERSE S.A. SYNTHAVERSE S.A., a member of the Lublin Medicine Cluster, is a Polish biotechnology company operating in the fields of oncology, gynecology, hematology, and immunology. The company's activities focus on the production of medicinal products (both prescription and OTC drugs), medical devices, and laboratory reagents for biochemical and medical laboratories.

Out of the 14 international passenger airports operating in Poland, only a few are financially profitable. Urban transport is subsidized, and roads and railways are maintained. Without transport routes, including air connections, proper regional development is not feasible. Lublin Airport was primarily established to eliminate transport barriers and to become a key driver of development for the Lublin region, which we are successfully achieving,” stated Krzysztof Matuszczyk, the new president of Lublin Airport, in an interview with Rynek Lotniczy.

The economic strength of a city is closely linked to its talent pool. In Lublin, access to highly specialised students and graduates from local universities allows us to swiftly adapt to employers’ needs and support young people as they transition into the workforce.

"As a city, we are moving towards multi-sectoral development.
