Modern Expo continues to expand its operations in Lublin. The company is launching a new production wing and an additional manufacturing line, increasing the scale of operations at its facility on Ludwika Spiessa Street. The investment, worth more than PLN 48.6 million, is expected to strengthen the company’s production capacity and may lead to the creation of up to 170 new jobs.

Representatives of the City of Lublin and the Lublin Roads and Public Transport Authority are currently visiting Seoul to take part in the K-City Network Invitation Program Opening Ceremony. The Lublin delegation was invited to participate by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea (MOLIT). The programme offers Lublin a valuable opportunity to explore innovative urban solutions, exchange experience and establish new relationships with Korean partners. The knowledge gained during the visit may also provide inspiration for the further development of smart mobility, public transport and modern municipal services in Lublin.

There is more good news from Lublin Airport. After June 2026 became the busiest month in the airport’s history, with 61,794 passengers, that record has already been broken.

From 3 to 7 August 2026, the City of Lublin once again welcomed representatives of the Republic of Korea as part of the joint project funded by the K-City Network Global Cooperation Programme. Lublin has released its tourism statistics, this time for the first half of 2026. From January to June, 1.35 million visitors came to the city—54,000 more than in the same period last year. The letter of intent signed by the parties paves the way for the exchange of experience, best practices, and information aimed at helping prepare an attractive offering for future investors.

Lublin has officially launched a strategic cooperation with the Republic of Korea under the K-City Network Global Cooperation program. This partnership aims to develop a comprehensive Smart City Master Plan and an Integrated Control Center (ICC) development plan, setting a new benchmark for urban innovation in Poland.

Aliplast is set to expand its production facility in the Lublin Subzone of the EURO-PARK Mielec Special Economic Zone (SEZ) with the addition of a new production and warehouse hall. The company has announced the creation of 60 new jobs by the first quarter of 2027.

From 17–19 February 2026, Lublin will host the 23rd edition of the CONNECT Route Development Forum - a prestigious aviation industry event that will bring together more than 800 decision-makers from over 65 countries. For the first time in history, the Congress will take place in Poland. The presence of Lublin and the region on the CONNECT map is an excellent opportunity to promote the city and the voivodeship as attractive investment, tourism, and logistics partners for the aviation industry.

Ball Beverage Packaging Europe was the first investor in the EURO-PARK Mielec Special Economic Zone, Lublin subzone, to receive a permit to operate (on 28 January 2008). Construction of the plant in Lublin began and was completed in 2008. However, due to the economic crisis, the investor altered its investment plans and did not commence production at that time.

Lublin once again confirms its role as a major economic hub in Poland. In the latest, fifth edition of the Business Environment Assessment Study (BEAS), the city received an overall score of 7.1 out of 10, matching the national average for Polish cities and indicating strong, stable foundations for continued business development.

Preparations for the modernization of the speedway stadium at Al. Zygmuntowskich are underway. On Monday, 6 October, at the headquarters of ACCREA in Lublin, the official presentation of the #AVROS P (Auxiliary Versatile Robotic System) took place - the first Polish robotic arm designed to assist in minimally invasive surgery. This state-of-the-art technology enables the performance of precise emergency procedures, such as appendectomies and gallbladder removals.

The City of Lublin and the Lublin Voivodeship will host the 22nd edition of the international CONNECT Aviation conference. From February 17-19, 2026, at the Lublin Conference Center, all key representatives of airlines, airports, and industry companies will meet to jointly plan the development of passenger route networks. This will be a unique opportunity to showcase Lublin’s potential - as the European Capital of Culture 2029 - together with the region’s many attractions, while also encouraging greater use of Lublin Airport in the long run. On June 11, the partners involved in organizing the congress signed an agreement confirming the event.
